Biography

I was born in a village in Jashore district on 18 July 1957. I did my masters in Zoology from Rajshahi University in 1980. Then I joined in the civil service of Bangladesh as a magistrate in the office of SDO, Chuadanga on 23 June 1983. I served UNO, Gangni, Meherpur; ADC, Cox’s Bazar, DC, Brahmanbaria, joint secretary, M/O Food; DG, Disaster Management; PD, Ashrayan and retired in 2016 as additional secretary to the government of Bangladesh. After retirement I joined as secretary, Board of Trustees, North South University and worked for 3 years.  
I also graduated from the College of Security Studies in the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies, Hawaii, USA, 2003.
Work experience:
I have work experience of 38 years of which 34 years in the government job. I’m dedicated and motivated in Public Administration and Management especially seeking engagement at higher level responsibilities. Enthusiastic in Development Projects, (foreign aided), UN assignments, having team management skills, disaster management specialization at all levels, result oriented/result based management. 2. TRAINING IN HOME AND ABROAD:

a) IN BANGLADESH
     ⦁    Completed successfully the following training:
     ⦁    2 months of training on basic laws of BD, like, Cr.P.C., Bangladesh Penal Code, and The Evidence Act, etc.
     ⦁    Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA), Bhatiary for 30 days.
     ⦁    3 months “SURVEY & SETTLEMENT TRAINING.
     ⦁    The “6th BASIC TRAINING COURSE” for 4 months in BPATC, Savar, Dhaka to enhance capacity building and self-development.
     ⦁    12 months of intensive training for the Bangladesh Constitution, and all other basic laws of Bangladesh in the BPATC, Savar; BARD, Cumilla; BMA, Chattogram.
     ⦁    47TH SENIOR STAFF COURSE in Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center (BPATC), DHAKA, 2007. 

b) FOREIGN TRAINING:
    ⦁    One month training on “Integrated Environmental Planning and Management COURSE, Malaysia, (1999).
    ⦁    Three months training on “EXECUTIVE COURSE” in the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS), USA, 2003. It’s a College of Security Studies. 
    ⦁    The purpose was to build lasting relationships, enhance mutual understanding, and foster cooperation for comprehensive security in the Asia-Pacific Region.
    ⦁    Negotiation meeting on BIMSTEC, TNC group, Bangkok, 2006.
    ⦁    Management Course in the Civil Service College, Singapore; [Management at the Top (MATT-2)], 2007.
    ⦁    Attachment Course on Civil Service System, Human Resource Development, Indonesia, 2008.
    ⦁    I attended different seminars, workshops, and regional conferences in the Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
    ⦁    “STRENGTHENING NEGOTIATION CAPACITY” in Duke University, USA, 2015.

    ⦁    Presented a paper on “Transnational Security” in APCSS, USA, 2003. The authority agreed to this. 
    ⦁    Presented a paper on “Sub-state Terrorism in the Asia Pacific Region” in APCSS, USA, 2003.
